Personal emails win privacy in Texas House vote
Fri May 3, 2013
Uh, if someone is going to steal data, they would use a USB drive or burn to a CD. They wouldn't send it by email unless they were really dumb. Most of our government is really awful about technology.
Climate change creates maddening 'weather whiplash'
Fri May 3, 2013
I just explain it like a pendulum. At the normal rate, it still swings both ways, but when you move the temperature, the pendulum starts to move more and you have more extremes on both ends. Yes, this would apply to both heating and cooling. Though with heating, you have more hot events, and with co …
3 pals of Boston Marathon bombing suspect charged with coverup
Wed May 1, 2013
It's not that torture is ineffective, it's that it's inconsistent, since it is often used improperly. Unless you know the person's proper motivations, hard to say whether torture will work in the first place.

Connecticut school shooting: 'Screams were coming over the intercom'
Fri Dec 14, 2012
The 2nd amendment is an outdated concept. The bigger and better technology becomes, the bigger the difference between the govt's weaponry and citizens. We would be absolutely crushed. All the guns would just mean we are crushed a little less. I agree that gun control and laws in current forms w …
Royal prank call: Duped nurse was found hanging, also had wrist injuries
Thu Dec 13, 2012
It's hard to say unless you are in their shoes. Americans in general lack class and culture by comparison. People in the British health care system pride themselves highly. They had an entire section of the Olympics ceremony just dedicated to it. And to add their royalty, whether rightly/wrongly, ye …
